Oily sludge is a kind of oily solid waste produced in the process of petroleum exploitation, transportation, refining and oily water treatment. The oil content in sludge is 10-15% and the water content is 40-90%. The oily sludge contains a large number of benzene series, phenols, anthracene, pyrene and other odorous toxic substances. In China's petrochemical industry, a large amount of oily sludge is produced every year. If oily sludge is not treated, it not only pollutes the environment, but also causes waste of resources. The oily sludge produced by refineries and other industries has been listed in the national hazardous waste list. Oily sludge produced by refinery sewage treatment plant mainly comes from the bottom mud of oil separation tank, flotation tank and crude oil tank, commonly known as "three sludge". These oily sludge have different composition, usually with oil content between 10-50%, water content between 40-90%, and accompanied by a certain amount of solid. The volume of oily sludge is huge. If it is not treated and discharged directly, it not only occupies a large amount of cultivated land, but also pollutes the surrounding soil, water and air, accompanied by odorous gases. Oily sludge is treated by incineration method in a refinery. Before incineration, the sludge is dried to reduce its volume, which is convenient for crushing the sludge and then sent to the incinerator for incineration. After incineration, almost all kinds of harmful substances were removed and heat energy was recovered. Hollow blade drying equipment uses steam as heating medium, which does not contact with sludge directly, indirectly heating and continuous drying. It avoids the problems of explosion and dust flying when hot air contacts with sludge directly.

Equipment Overview

The hollow blade dryer is a low speed agitating dryer with conductive heating. A jacket is arranged on the simplex of the dryer, and hollow blades are arranged on the hollow shaft. Thermal carriers are introduced into the hollow shaft. Under the agitation of the agitator blades, the wet materials are exchanged sufficiently between the simplex and the hot surface of the impeller blades to achieve the purpose of drying.

The machine is suitable for handling paste, granular powder and other materials with good thermal stability. It can also dry heat sensitive materials under special conditions and recover solvents during drying process. The heating medium can be steam, hot water, hot oil, etc. Typical drying materials are: carbon black, calcium carbonate, gypsum, clay, nylon and polyester slices, polyhexene, polypropylene and so on.
